  As a professional in the field of early childhood education, it is important that you not only further your knowledge about the content you are learning, but that you also gain a better understanding of who you are as a professional. As humans we are each unique and we each bring something different to our schools or centers, and to the children and families we work with. Understanding your own personal strengths and where you might need to continue growing will help you to better focus your attention as you continue to learn throughout your degree program. Your goal is to become the best educator or caregiver you can, and the type of reflection you are completing for this journal will help you get there.
