Purdue University Two Men Arrive in a Village by Zadie Smith Discussion Paper
Question Description
This assignment requires you to have some knowledge in the required texts and movie. You can read a summary for the texts to get an understanding of the information so youre able to answer them. As for the movie you just need to know what its about to answer the question.
Both parts must meet the word count required.
These questions are related to globalization, so you need a basic understanding of the definition of globalization.
Part 1 (600 words total):
Select 2 quotes from the options below. You should only select one quote from each text. Your two choices can not come from the same text. For each selected quote, identify the text it comes from and analyze it, explaining its importance to understanding the text and the themes weve discussed in class related to globalization. Each response should be approximately 300 words.
The quotes may come from:

use this for the definition of globalization: https://world101.cfr.org/global-era-issues/globali…
since for part one you need to also relate the quotes to globalization
When I started on the assignment this is what I wrote:
Part 1
Quote: My parents are doing pretty much all the thinking when it comes to marriage
This quote is from Indian Matchmaking. I believe it was Pradhyuman that said this, referring to how his parents were very concerned about his marriage. Although he was the only one to specifically say this, it can definitely be applied to all the other characters as well. In the beginning of the show, Seema Taparia explains how weddings in India are not just between the two individuals getting married but the two families.
Just so you have an idea for the layout, etc. you dont have to use that same quote i chose it was only an example
