Eastern Washington University African American Civil Rights Activist Discussion

Question Description

I’m working on a history writing question and need a sample draft to help me understand better.

Hi everyone! I am here with a request for you guys – I have to write an essay on Rosa Parks, an African American activist most commonly known for refusing to free a bus seat to white passengers back in 1955. For those of you who don’t know, that was a big deal back then as there were special sections on the buses designated to the black passengers, and if all of the white-designated seats were occupied, African-Americans had to stand up and give their seats to the white passengers. This obligation to stand up was a part of segregation policy back then, and refusing to oblige resulted in Rosa Parks being arrested for the bus boycott.

So, what I need here is an essay describing the event and its impact on American society and the subsequent Civil Rights Movement. I am hot familiar with the history of the movement in great detail and I want someone who can draw the lines between the bus incident, the influence of Rosa Parks, and the subsequent events in the US. It was a powerful moment in the history of the African American community, and I want someone to describe it in a truly profound manner analyzing it, discussing its implications, and studying its aftermath. I know the basics, and I would like to share my opinion so you would know what I think about it and use it as a background for writing an essay.

First of all, I have a deep sense of respect for African Americans. I think that each and everyone has to have equal rights to not just seat on the bus but to work, have a decent education, and career opportunities. I think we are moving towards it, and though we often stumble along the way, we are moving in the right direction. I would really love to see a society where people of all races would be totally equal in their rights and opportunities. The bus incident is still relevant as the racial disparity remains a pressing issue even now. We need to remember people like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and all those who fought for freedom and equality for all. I want this essay to have an impact, a strong piece that provokes thoughts and delivers the message of peace, equality, and freedom. Thanks in advance guys, love you all!
