So, this part of the writing process is about writing up a proposal for your MTE. Your proposal is a five-paragraph summary of what you want to discuss in your MTE. It’s a plan; however, plans do change, so don’t worry if you take a different direction and make a few changes with your essay early on.
MID-TERM ESSAY: THIS I BELIEVE
ASSIGNMENT
We have spent the first half of this semester analyzing and discussing about the many aspects of our society and how those aspects after our beliefs, our values, and our identities. There are certain pillars of any society that not only define a civilization and its people, but it also defines the individual: technology, health, education, culture, race, ethics, economics, politics, environment, religion, and sexuality (THE CREEPERS). Without these pillars, there would not be a sense of purpose and cohesion among the people in their society and civilization.
Reflect on what you have written for the topics covered in this course in the first half of the semester. Write a reflective essay about what topics changed your mind about things, if any did, or how you remained steadfast. Are there issues in those topics that you never considered?
