Choose one of the topics below:

1. Write a one-paragraph summary of Reading 2, “Living Outside the Box.” In a second paragraph, write your personal response about the author’s decision and experience living without a TV.

2. Using the Internet, find an article about another way people use technology in their free time, such as playing video games or reading the news online. Write a one-paragraph summary of the article and then a personal response paragraph. (Make sure to include a link of the source at the end of your summary)

Your assignment should be:

-at least 350 words (both paragraphs)

– includes at least 5 words from the unit (listed on page 212)

– includes synonyms (explaind on page 70)

– includes at least 2 sentences with parallel structure (explaind on page 75)
