University of Central Florida Chemical Engineering & Biosensor Basics Discussion
Question Description
Hello, I have Project – Biosensors example
Single spaced
It would be nice to include a small pic
All the questions are written in the instructions part needed to answer accurately and in sequence.
I will be uploading the instructions below, so please take a deep look at them and go through them carefully.
Please use Academic words and follow exactly what is written in the instructions
Let me know if any questions needed to be answered.
I will be uploading class notes please look at them(because the topic you be writing about should be different than the topics discussed in class notes)
Instructions:
Project – Biosensors exampleWe talked about biosensors in class, noting that a biosensor consists of atraditional sensor (that senses conductivity, pH, light transmittance, etc.) and abio component (enzyme, microbe, cell, etc.).
Your task:1) Find an example of a biosensor (this can be any application area such asenvironmental, medical, general chemical, etc.)
2) Summarize in a 1-2 page document
(this can include illustrations, graphs, diagrams, etc.):
The basics of the biosensor:- the biocomponent (is it an enzyme, microbe, etc. and how is it presentwithin the sensor)-
what is being sensed? –
how it is being sensed- accuracy/precision- estimated lifespan (how long is the biosensor functional)
Note: pick an application example other than glucose monitors (this was anin-class application example).
