One of the important debates going on in Economics today is the debate on Economic Growth. Specifically, should growth be“sustained” (limited) due to climate change and other environmental/social issues, or should growth be pursued and encouraged. I want you choose a side in this debate.

Now that we have covered chapter 28 about Economic growth, I want you to read the two articles I have posted on Blackboard re: the pros and cons of economic growth.

After reading the two articles, I want you to write a short essay that does the following:

1) Demonstrates to me that you understand the pros and cons of this debate

2) You must pick a side and defend it in your essay. You will be graded on how well you understand the issue, and how convincing you are about the side of the debate you choose – in favor of growth or opposed to growth.

3) You will need to use facts from Chapter 28 and the two articles to create your argument.

4) Your essay needs to be longer than the usual Summary and Opinion. You need to write at least 3 paragraphs – an introduction, a body, and a conclusion
