Los Angeles Pierce College Science Fiction Story Essay

I’m working on a english project and need guidance to help me study.

I need to write an essay about a dystopian/ science fiction story that I create. It should be 750+ words and should meet the requirements on the checklist as well as complete the checklist as there are questions like

• Conflict type: _character vs_________________
• Literary device #1 (type and quote): ___________________
• Literary device #2 (type and quote): ___________________
• Literary device #3 (type and quote): ___________________
• Literary device #4 (type and quote): ___________________

that need to be filled out. The point of view and tense should be consistent throughout the story. The rubric is also attached. In the other pdf, I have created a visual story that could be used in the essay.

It needs to Meet genre requirements in that:

-Story takes place in the future AND

-Story describes major technological advances AND

-Technological advancements have changed story’s society

OR

-Story takes place in a suffering or unjust society AND

-Story is post-apocalyptic or deals with a tyrannical government

Other than focusing on the rubric and checklist page, the rest of the essay is completely up to you.
