This is an intellectual exercise whose purpose is to assess the understanding of the subject you have chosen in relation to the novel The Underdogs. You need to show if you agree or disagree with the author, stating your position based on academic research not on anecdotal information. Please write a creative essay on The Underdogs that show an analytical stance. The essay needs to be at least four pages of content. You can choose a chapter, first half, second half of the novel, or you might want to write about a character, or a theme, for example. Make sure you use other reference materials, and include them as part of your bibliography at the end of your paper. To reiterate, you are expected to use at least two web-based bibliographical references in addition to your book. Always ask yourself questions as you move along this process. For example, what did you learn from the readings? What is the main point the author wants to convey? Do you agree or disagree with what you found out? etc. Because this a literature course, it is essential that you research the author and his work and analyze it.
