UCLA Art of The 1970s and 80s Theories and Concepts Essay

I’m working on a art report and need support to help me study.

For this essay talk about the theories and concepts represented in the 1970’s and 80’s. The 1970s and 1980s are decades in which artist’s writings abounded. Therefore a special focus will be directed to the relationship of the writings of artists to their art production. How do writings of artists differ from writings of art critics? What is their purpose? How do they address the public? How do the artist’s writings and his/her artworks work in tandem? And how do they convey the idea that there are concepts and principles at work that do not relate to just one particular art but that can also be applied to other arts?
