I’m working on a chemistry question and need guidance to help me learn.
Drill 3 is scheduled for Friday April 23 from 12:40-12:50pm. The drill will cover:
- Electron configurations of atoms from the first twenty elements of the periodic table, including lowest excited states (only from filled subshells) and ions.
- Lewis dot structures, including formal charges, lone pair and unpaired electrons, resonance, and choosing the best from non-equivalent resonance structure. Atoms will be chosen only from the first 20 elements, and there will be no expanded octets.
No calculators, periodic tables, or notes are permitted for this drill. A sample from 2016 is posted to the course documents.
