California State Electric Vehicle and Environmental Conservation Discussion

Question Description

READ THE SCRIPT AND INFORMATION ABOUT HOW MANY CHARGING STATIONS AT SJSU RIGHT NOW. I ALSO ATTACHED THOSE INFORMATION BELOW TO HELP YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT. JUST FOCUS ON GRAPHIC DESIGN PART BECAUSE THAT IS MY ROLE. IN OUR PROPOSAL, WE ARE PLANNING TO ADD MORE CHARGING STATIONS TO SOUTH GARAGE. AND WE WANT TO PLACE THEM NEAR EXITS AND STAIRS WAY TO GIVE INCENTIVE TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES. YOU CAN TALK MORE ABOUT IT LIKE DESCRIBE ENVIRONMENT AND PROPOSED SOLUTION.

TWO OUTSIDE REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED (MUST INCLUDES QUOTE AND ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY).

YOU CAN USE ONE REFERENCE THAT I ATTACHED BELOW.

HERE IS THE GUIDELINES:

The purpose of the proposal is to identify a viable solution to a ‘real world’ environmental problem on our campus, in our community, or in our region. This project will propose a solution that has direct impacts on improving campus and/or regional and/or environmental sustainability and/or directly address the impacts of climate change and/or mitigate (lessen) carbon emissions and/or improve human health or safety. These solutions should be appropriate for your home community, the campus community, or the Bay Area generally. You may also address issues surrounding COVID or Wildfires or any other ‘real word’ problem related to environmental sustainability.

Think: People and Planet when you think of environmental sustainability.

These projects must be research based and engineering focused. In other words, cleaning up garbage around campus would not be an acceptable solution. However, proposing a system that decreases non-biodegradable plastic waste by proposing a biodegradable plastic design for all beverage containers on campus would be an acceptable solution.

Projects must be context specific. In other words, these are not just theoretical proposals, but rather are grounded in the constraints and limitations of the actual campus and/or region. Primary research is required. For example, if your team is proposing a College of Engineering bathrooms upgrade to decrease water waste, then your team will need to first examine—how many bathrooms, what are the current water-wise fixtures, will the project be a retrofit (upgrade) or a complete renovation? What engineering concepts can be applied to improve water usage? What are the specifications of existing and/or new equipment? Will your team propose the design and development of a new water-wise product or propose an upgrade which will utilize water-wise products already in the marketplace and document how these upgrades will improve water usage? Will your team provide a cost benefit analysis to improve the credibility of your proposal, or will your team create a prototype, rendition or diorama that demonstrates your new design?

Your proposal document should be double-spaced and use 12-point font.

  • Purpose: Describe environmental issue and proposed solution
