Analysis of a Leader Paper (45 pts) – Your paper will analyze one of the ten leaders listed below:

These leaders are covered by Howard Gardner in his book, Leading Minds (required text). You will need to read Gardner’s analysis of your chosen leader, and then use the other readings and lecture material in this course to complete your paper. Specifically, you will apply two theories/approaches of leadership to the leader’s life and his or her particular form or mode of leadership. Your analysis should address (a) the usefulness of the theories/approaches for explaining the person’s leadership; and (b) the limitations of the theories/approaches for explaining the person’s leadership. Your paper should end with a “summary and conclusions” section.

TOTAL LENGTH: 5-6 pages (double-spaced)

You will be evaluated based on 1) sufficient comprehension of theories/approaches from the course; 3) sufficient assessment of both their usefulness and limitations for explaining the chosen person’s leadership 3) clarity of presentation (structure and grammar)
