Case Analysis Presentation Feedback
1. Introduction: Introduce group members to the class.
a. Beginning of presentation.
b. Each speaker (or place speakers name on bottom of slide).
2. Presentation: Memorize portions of your presentation to facilitate interaction with the class.
a. Grade reflects eye contact with audience.
b. Grade reflects audibility. (You cannot read your entire presentation.)
Be aware that there is a tendency for your voice to weaken over an extended presentation; therefore, you MUST compensate.
3. Recommendations should be within the context of the industry.
4. Figures: If you present figures, give us a reference point to facilitate interpretation.
a. Financial ratios historical comparison.
b. Financial ratios competitor comparison.
5. Time Management: Elect someone to monitor the groups time.
a. Grade reflects time management.
b. Group projects= 30 minutes (BBA) & 45 minutes (MBA) oral presentations.
(EVERY MEMBER MUST PRESENT.)
6. Coherence: Presentation should be coherent and consistent (no conflicting information). It should sound as if one person wrote/organized it. Practice the presentation as a group to make sure that it is not disjointed (disorganized, without continuity)!
7. Analytical Techniques: Discuss analysis techniques in terms of their components.
a. RBV: tangible vs. intangible resources
(valuable, rare, inimitable, nonsubstitutable).
b. Value Chain: primary vs. secondary activities.
c. Balanced scorecard: financial, customer, internal business processes,
learning & growth.
d. Financial Ratios: five categories, historical & competitor comparisons.
e. Five Forces: checklist and industry model.
8. Copies: You must email your presentation to the class and the instructor at least 72 hours before class!
a. If your presentation includes trivia questions and/or games, please discuss class email with me.
9. Multimedia comments:
a.Do not block or cross the screen during the presentation.
b.Leave one person at the controls.
c.If you use the laser, do not point the beam at individuals.
d. Face the audience during your presentation. You may read portions of your presentation from your monitor screen.
e. View your presentation in the classroom prior to your presentation date to avoid losing grade points. Some colors are very difficult to see (e.g., black text and green background)!
f. Check font size from back of room (audience viewpoint).
10. Case Analysis: You are responsible for a complete case analysis! (You will lose points if parts are missing!)
11. Cover Page: Indicate company name, group #, and member names (alphabetically).
