I have four different sections which is

Write a laboratory report as one group consisting of the following sections:

1. Tension Test
2. Hardness Test
3. Charpy Impact Test
4. Heat Treatment

Please write each section in this format with the same order

1. Background
   1. Name of test
   2. Name of the equipment used
   3. Specimen geometry
   4. Materials Tested (any of the following set of materials you may have tested in the lab):
      • FC Brass: free cutting brass
      • C1018 CF: cold rolled, low carbon, plain carbon steel (“mild steel”)
      • C1045 CF: cold rolled, medium carbon, plain carbon steel
      • AISI 4140 CF: cold rolled, medium carbon, low alloy steel with chromium – molybdenum (“chrome-moly steel”)
      • AISI 304: iron + 18% Cr + 8% Ni austenitic stainless steel
      • AISI 316: iron + 17% Cr + 12% Ni austenitic stainless steel (upgraded version of AISI 304)
      • AA 6061 – T651: aluminum- magnesium – silicon alloy, artificially aged, cold finished
      • AA 2011 – T3: aluminum – copper alloy, naturally aged
      • GCI – 20: gray cast iron
      • DCI: Ductile Cast iron
      • AZ31B: Magnesium alloy
   5. Testing Conditions (temperature, strain rate)

   1. Plot graphs temperature vs. energy absorbed, fracture appearance;
   2. Make data tables for type of material vs. YS, TS, E, Modulus of Elastic Resilience (U_r), Toughness in tension Test, %EL, %RA, Impact Energy Absorbed, Hardness, bend Test, Fracture Appearance etc.
4. Data Analysis
   1. Observe which material is the hardest, strongest, toughest, most brittle etc.
   2. Effect of test temperature on impact toughness
5. Sources of Error
6. Conclusions
   1. Attempt to make correlations between the chemical composition, structure and properties of materials as determined from the tests.
