I’m working on a Art & Design project and need support to help me learn.

Think about how Duchamp, Warhol, and Kahlo along with other artists that we’ll survey in class on Tuesday created personas and worked with their identity as part of their art practice.

Project 2 Guidelines:

1. Two minutes in length.

2. You must be in it.

3. Must be a static camera shot.

4. No cuts or edits.

Permitted post-production:

A. You may adjust light or sound in post-production.

B. You may trim off the footage of the turning on and off of the camera as long as the remaining video is two minutes in length. Elements to consider: 1. Framing. 2. Costuming. 3. Lighting. 4. Sound.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT FOR PROJECT 2: Here is the prompt.

DUE 11/12: Project 2: Video self-portrait, investigating the selfie as self portraiture and inventing personas

R & D; Create a class presentation of 2 – 3 images that inspire this new work, include an artists self-portrait that you may find inspirational or that you’d like to contrast. Include a sketch of the opening tableau you want to create for your self-portrait. Add costume and other details if possible and use collage techniques if that would help you show the class what you’re going after in this self-portrait video. Play an excerpt of your sound score idea you have for the work. Consider the framing and composition, lighting and color palette for this video work.

Quick Note: Because I’m shooting this performance at my house, therefore please don’t put ideas that are quite difficult to perform.
