TSU Massive Protest on Education of Chicanos Blacks & Working Class Whites Fact Sheet

In the fall of 1989, students from Austin high school, located here in Houston, walked out of the school in a massive protest of HISD’s ineffective way of providing them a quality educational experience. The walkout received national attention and revealed that much had not changed in Houston regarding the education of Chicanos, blacks, and working-class whites. Your task is to read the newspaper clippings and provide information from it including a summary of the story, names of persons involved, dates, outcome of events, and citation (that is, who wrote it, when, and where). In other words, provide me with the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of the newspaper clippings. Similarly, for pages that have photos. I have provided a Fact Sheet that must be used for providing information. You will be assigned two to three pages from this collection so that you will be completing at least two Fact Sheets. Some pages have more than one newspaper article on them, do a Fact Sheet for each article/photo. The Fact Sheets is what you will turn in to me. Combine both files, do not turn in two separate files.
