What were the key values and relationships of the feudal system (900-1150) and how had they changed by 1300?

Answer this question in a 1,200-word essay (4-5 pages) that is well organized with an introduction and conclusion. There should be a thesis statement at the end of the introduction that describes how things had changed. The conclusion might take up the question of why things changed and why that is important.

The paper should use several examples from The Poem of the Cid and the textbook (chapters 8-10) to help support its argument.

When organizing your paper choose two themes (i.e. politics, religion, economics, gender etc.) to organize the discussion of the feudal era and the changes that occur in later 12th and 13th centuries. Don’t forget to give examples of both similarities and differences.
