Welcome to this week’s Task! In the Lesson you learned about author’s purpose, and in the Discussion you are still writing about bias. Consider – in what ways are bias and author’s purpose similar or different? Can a piece of work contain both?

Remember from the Lesson, an author typically has one of four purposes:

1.) to inform the reader

2.) to entertain/amuse the reader

3.) to persuade the reader

4.) to satirize a situation
