University of Central Florida PMAP and SIPOC Programs for Exam Design Questions
Question Description
Question 1:
Exam administration sessions must have at least one proctor for every 25 candidates taking an exam.
This requirement will take place in Take the exam process in our PMAP. The process of taking the exam by candidates starts by forming exam questions and standards, select exam question, take the exam, and improve exam process. The requirement of having an exam administration protecting each group of 25 candidates, might affect the your High-Level PMAP of our project. I think we should add a new process thats only dealing with proceeding candidates taking the exam, and separate the process or methodology of the exam from the exam design and question. Or modify our take the exam process to cover the process of taking the exam from candidates prospective. If we add a new process in our detailed PMAP thats about the exam process only, it would have inputs of exam methodology (in office/online), candidates identification document, candidates approval for the exam, and an exam administration for each 25 candidates. The output would be completed exams. On the other hand, adding the exam administration requirement will result in our project SIPOC having more inputs, suppliers, outputs, and customers. Exam administrations worker would be added as suppliers, protected and close exams as input, process of candidates taking the exam, secure and confidential exams take by candidates as outputs, and customers will be industries because this will make the certification program trustworthy and more valuable by industries. This will ensure the overall quality of certifying candidates where theres limited place for certifying unqualified candidates, were eliminating the possibility of having candidates cheat during the exam. Some failure modes to consider for this process such as failure to allow candidates proceed their exam because candidates forget their identification (potential cause) and this will result in delaying their exam and having longer time in the overall process time for each candidate (potential cause).
Question 2: Proctors are responsible for check-in and identification checks of arriving candidates at each exam administration session.
This requirement also takes place in take the exam process in our high level PMAP. Check in, and identifying candidates and their exams should be added as input for the step process take the exam along with other inputs that are the exam methodology (in office/online), candidates identification document, candidates approval for the exam, and an exam administration for each 25 candidates. In the FMEA some possible failure modes that can happen would be such as failure to identify candidates correctly where the potential cause can be that candidates using a fake id or someones else id, and the effect would be candidates cheating in processing the exam that leads to certify unqualified candidates. We already have proctors to watch the exam as input in our SIPOC. But check in proctors should be added in our SIPOC diagram as the suppliers, candidates and exams as inputs, verifications and check in ids as requirement, verified candidates as output, and industries as customers.
