However, given the multifactorial nature of opioid use in LGBTQ people and the complex medical needs of this population, certain concerns, and considerations may arise during the course of opioid use disorder treatment. Identify at least 1 population-specific concern and explain how you will tailor your interventions to meet the needs of LGBTQ persons with an opioid use disorder given the concern you have identified.

3.There are about 5.2 million American Indians and Alaska Natives in the United States (about 1.7% of the total population). American Indians and Alaska Natives experience some of the highest rates of substance use and mental disorders compared to other U.S. racial or ethnic groups. Explain the population-specific factors contribute to the increased prevalence of substance use disorders among American Indian/Alaska Natives and discuss at least 3 strategies to facilitate culturally competent care.
