Colorado State University Deforestation Infographic Design Presentation

Question Description

Students will create an infographic for an environmental issue of your choice to be presented in class. For topics, remember that this class is Environmental Toxicology! One power point slide will be submitted to Dr. Legare via email (and also upload PDF of the slide to canvas). This is an individual assignment but if you so desire you can work with one other individual and the final grade will reflect that of a bigger, better infographic as two heads were involved in its creation. 100 points.

About Infographics:

  • Infographic is a visual representation of information, data, knowledge.
  • In an infographic, a mark, a symbol or visual element typically stands for quantitative information.
  • Infographics use text as labels and for short explanations to make the data useful. Think of charts, diagrams, graphs, maps, timelines and modern visualizations that aren’t yet named.

There are examples of grading rubrics (for both the newspaper article as well as the infographic) attached below.
