We are current seeking students to intern with our Investigative Division for the Spring of 2021. The Investigators with the District Attorney’s Office are responsible for assisting our Assistant District Attorneys with the preparation and presentment of cases. As a result, they work closely with over ten law enforcement agencies in Carroll County and are often in and out of court. Student interns will work closely with our three Investigators to procure additional evidence and do supplemental investigations on all case files received by our office. This will include preparing discovery as well as reviewing videos, jail calls, and 911 calls. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to participate in meetings with victims, witnesses, and law enforcement during the preparation of cases for trial.

This position will offer interns the opportunity to witness both non-jury and jury matters as well as a typical day at a district attorney’s office. This is a fantastic opportunity for those students who are looking to go to law school or begin a career in law, law enforcement, advocacy, or public policy.
