3.)In chapter 4 of SUPERVISION OF POLICE PERSONNEL, describe the importance of training. Note and comment upon the difference between this text which is directed towards first line supervision (the “sergeant”) and PROACTIVE POLICE MANAGEMENT which focuses upon executive (“chief”)oversight articulating the importance of policy creation by the chief and implementation, monitoring and corrective action by a sergeant operating in the capacity of a first line supervisor.
