Review the Student Behavior Case Studies.

Select two case studies, one primary and one intermediate, to evaluate.

What do I need to think about?

• What disruptive and non-disruptive off-task behaviors did these students exhibit in the scenarios you chose?
• What classroom management and discipline models might work with these case studies?
• What planning strategies may have prevented the off-task behaviors in these case studies?
• What proactive techniques might be used to prevent any possible violent or abusive behavior from these students?
• If you were the students’ teacher, how would you prepare, and what would you communicate to their parents in an upcoming parent-teacher-student conference?

Design a classroom behavior chart for each student that will be used for parent and school communication. Make sure it includes a way for the parent and teacher to communicate back and forth with each other.
