WVU Injury Prevention for Golds Gym International Public Health Related Presentation

Question Description

This assignment should be an informational presentation that is related to your major(Public Health). It could focus on healthy eating, injury prevention, performing exercises, rehabilitation, etc. For this project, you will need to create an original slide presentation in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Keynote. The slideshow must be created specifically for this class: do not use or modify any other slide show of yours or anyone else’s. The required elements for this assignment are listed below.

  1. Your name and intended audience – on the title slide (but subtle: For example “Fred Flintstone Fitness Center’s Guide to Eating for Fitness”).
  2. At least 10 slides and no more than 15.
  3. At least 8 Pictures (found under Insert-photo > photo browser/picture from a file, or in the Home tab, under Insert, in the ribbon) and/or clip art (found under Insert-clip art, or the Home tab, under Insert, in the ribbon). This will help break up the text. At least 2 slides should have 2 or more pictures/clip art. You must have citations for all of your images.
  4. At least 4 Auto Shapes (found under Insert-shapes or in the Home tab, under Insert, in the ribbon), such as Flow Charts, Callouts or Arrows. This also helps break up text and also helps with information sharing. If you animate callouts, make sure the animation adds to the presentation (e.g., animate and arrow with “wipe” so that the wipe and the arrow move in the same direction).
  5. Text animations (found under Animations/Animations tab) for all text and at least 3 different custom animations (found under Animations-custom animation). Be conservative! Appear, fade and wipe work nicely; wheel, diamond or fly in do not. Also, avoid animating slide titles, and make sure animation order is correct and effective. Do not use sound effects unless you have a compelling reason!
  6. At least one picture/text or auto shape/text animation combination This should provide a visual sequence (e.g., the text appears, then arrow wipes in from text to image; or text box 1 appears, then image 1, then text box 2, followed by image 2…).
  7. Transitions for each slide (found under Slide Show – Transitions or in Transition tab) chose a few different types but not too many and not too distracting.
  8. Current and useful information related to your field. This information should be in summary form. Follow the Rule of Six – no more than 6 bullets, and one line per bullet.
  9. Auto-Running Your presentation should run by itself from beginning to end. Please be sure to time each slide correctly so they are not too slow or too fast.
  10. BE SURE to identify your AUDIENCE and PURPOSE for the slide show in the comments box on the assignment area.
