For this week, please be sure you read the articles and looked at the dance video and the speech by the commander. Please write two possible definition subjects, one for each, that may work for your paper assignment (see the assignment below the videos in Week 2 of Course Content). You are choosing two sources you looked at and writing ONE paragraph for each. It can be a general definition (what is femininity?) or it can be specific (What is Black Lives Matter?).

Think of the following (don’t don’t have to cover all of these)

For dance,

• What genre of dance is Olivia Taylor doing?
• What do you know about dance?
• Describe the routine
• Describe the outfit
• Describe her gestures, facial expressions
• How often does she move across the floor
• Count how many different elements she does
• If you don’t know about dance, look at some dance resources online
• How does modern dance differ from classical ballet?
• What did you notice about the pole dancing routine?
• Has your opinion changed after reading the pole dancing article, why or why not?
• What is being defined in the “Death of the Artistic Girl?”

For the commander video,

• How many points does he cover in his training?
• What is his overriding message?
• How many numbers of people does he say each of us can help?
• What do you know about the Navy Seals besides what we get in movies?
• How would you define a Navy Seal?
• What did you learn from the video

Put these in a two-paragraph or more response that covers both videos. Then respond to your peers. You will choose one to write your definition essay about. This forum is due on Sunday night. You MUST respond to TWO peers and have an initial post for credit.

For clarification, you are writing one detailed definition for 2 sources we looked at (article or videos) in this DB response.. For the paper, you will choose one video and to a general and an extended definition. This is practice, but you may use one of these for your extended definition paper.
