2. Divide the paragraph into chunks by underlining and numbering the main ideas, similarly to Example 1.

3. Explain each chunk and list them similarly to Example 1.

4. Combine the chunks into a paraphrase.

5. Check your paraphrase for the following:

a. That the combined ideas make sense as a whole.

b. That it meets all the 3 criteria for a good paraphrase.

NOTE 1: Your paraphrase does not need to be 1 sentence long like the examples that we looked at in our readings. It could be a few sentences if necessary.

NOTE 2: The in-text citation does not have to be used after every single sentence if your paraphrase is longer than one sentence. Using it once at the beginning or the end of the paraphrase is appropriate.

Make sure that the paragraph is approx. 200 words.
