University of London Cultural Competence in Nursing Practice Question

I’m working on a writing question and need support to help me understand better.

Explain how you have tried to be cultural sensitivity/aware/competent in your practice. What theories related to culture have you tried to apply in practice? Refrain from the use of first person/personal pronouns in your writing (I, we, they, our,etc) and use third person (the author). Use at least 2 references in APA format.
Please use Madeleine M. Leininger’s theory of Culture Care Diversity and Universality
“living in a multicultural community and providing nursing care to people with diverse personal and cultural backgrounds, my nursing theorist model is Madeleine Leininger” As Madeleine M. Leininger has point out, “…With the migration of many cultural group and the rise of the consumer cultural identify, and demands in culturally based care, nurse are realizing the need for culturally sensitive and competent practices…Immigrant and people from unfamiliar culture expect nurses to respect and respond to value, beliefs, lifeways, and needs. No longer can nurses practice unicultural nursing” (Alligood, 2014).
I would like you to mention working at Jackson Memorial Hospital which also adopted Madeleine theory ( please see/search http://jacksonhealth.org and look for Nursing Practice Models.
Give example regarding my work such as:
• work in Neurosurgical unit
• do admission and discharge patient. We provided welcome package with 3 different languages (Eng, Spn, Creole). I discharge patient with documents printed in ENG or Spanish based on patient preferences, sometime give them both languages.
• used language line who is professional trained for patient who has language barrier
• diet match patient cultural preferences
• Family/patient request Rabbi/priest for comfort
• Etc.
