Trauma Informed & Trauma Treatment Agencies Principle Based Culture Discussion

I’m studying and need help with a Psychology question to help me learn.

This is a written assignment based on the reading for the week as well as your own independent research. In roughly 2 pages, clearly identify the differences, if any, between Trauma Informed Agencies and Trauma Treatment Agencies. Provide specific examples using agencies currently in practice, and tell what makes them good examples of either a Trauma Informed or a Trauma Treatment facility. When browsing agency websites for information, it may be helpful to read about their mission statement, services provided, and start up obstacles, if noted.

According to SAMHSA’s concept of a trauma-informed approach, “A program, organization, or system that is trauma-informed:

• Realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery;
• Recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others involved with the system;
• Responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices; and
• Seeks to actively resist re-traumatization.”

Please use these 4 concepts to compare and contrast what you believe to be the difference between the two types of agencies.
