Spanish Learning Letter and Verbs Question
Question Description
I’m working on a spanish multi-part question and need a sample draft to help me learn.
I have attached a worksheet and instructions for a 125-word email I need to write in Spanish. When it comes to the email assignment, I live in Florida, but all the other details the teacher is asking for you can make them up. I also attached documents to help with the email assignment.
My teacher grades hard on the level of Spanish I know. Below is an example of a sentence we turned in last time.
Let me know if you have any questions.
YOU WROTE: Yo recomiendo que traigas una chaqueta y pantalones para la noche, para el mediodía y por la tarde es bueno usar camisetas, shorts y una gorra por el sol.
I recommend that you bring (you to bring) a jacket and pants for the night, for the afternoon it is good that you use shorts and a hat. In Spanish you express recommendations, suggestions, desires, doubts, etc by the use of a totally different conjugation called SUBJUNTIVO, we are not talking about a tense, but about a totally different conjugation. When you use yo recomiendo that by the way, you dont know how to conjugate because we havent started with irregular verbs (recomendar-chages the stern vowel from e-ie in first, second, third singular and plural, we will study all this with an image of a boot, but for the moment you dont know how to use it). Anyway, by using recomendar you are establishing a context that asks for the use of subjunctive in the second part of the sentence introduced by QUE.
