SOC 320 AABN Food and Calorie Intake Discussion

Question Description

Instructions

Everybody uses thermochemistry on a daily basis. People become more concerned about it when they need to incorporate careful considerations of diet and exercise in their lives. Look up how many Calories there are in a food that you frequently eat. Try to use a snack or junk food that is not part of a normal meal. Report the number of Calories per serving and estimate your average serving size. Calculate the total Calorie intake (to the nearest Calorie). Use the attached file (Discussion Thermochemistry.xlsx found below under “Submission Resources”) and find your favorite activity. Calculate how many minutes of that activity a person would need to complete to burn the extra calories (choose a weight for the person; give your answer to the nearest minute). Show your work for your calculations (you can use the Insert Math Equation in the toolbar above; it looks like the square root of x button)

Example Calculation (this is only the calculation; you will need to include a paragraph according to the Grading section below): This is for 20 chip serving for a 125 pound person

LaTeX: 20:chipstimesfrac{160:Calories}{15:chips}=213:Calories

LaTeX: 213:Caloriestimesfrac{1:min tennis}{7:Calories}=30:min tennis
