Summarize the main points of the discussion between Antigone and Creon in Scene II. Be sure to present the argument according to each’s perspective. In other words, how does Creon justify his actions? How does Antigone justify her actions?

Choose one side – either Creon’s or Antigone’s – and defend their position. Why do you feel he/she is right and just? Be sure to consider their actions within the context of ancient Greece, which as you know, valued patriarchy, democracy, humanism, stoicism and idealism.
