PUB 655 Grand Canyon Comparison between Public & International Health Questions
Question Description
Answer the question asked by professor:
Thank you for your post. Many people think that global health, public health, and international health are indistinguishable. This is especially due to all of these disciplines viewing health in terms of physical, mental, and social wellbeing, rather than merely the absence of disease. These disciplines also emphasize population-level policies, as well as individual approaches to health promotion, and address the root causes of ill-health through a broad array of scientific, social, cultural, and economic strategies (Fried et al, 2010). In your opinion, what are the major differences between these three disciplines? What are the differences in their approach to addressing population health? Please share a specific example to support your answers.
