One Way ANOVA Lab Report

Question Description

For this lab, you will use the scores below. These represent test scores on a language test given to 4-year-old children who attend one of three preschools: private-parochial, private-corporate, and public-state-administered.

Part 1: Enter the scores into an SPSS file. First, create a variable called “preschool” with scores of 1, 2, and 3 (corresponding to the three preschools). Be sure to use the “define variable” feature to label the groups. Second, create the variable called “language score” and enter the scores with the corresponding preschool code (1, 2 or 3).

Part 2: Run a one-way ANOVA in SPSS. If the omnibus test is significant, run a Tukey’s post-hoc test.

Part 2: Report your results in correct APA format (a title page is not necessary), double-spaced, with 12-point font and 1-inch margins. A sample write-up is included below, and a sample output and write up are contained in the PowerPoint slides for ANOVA. You should copy this format, making adjustments to fit your data and to keep the paragraph grammatically correct.
