Good start. Strong summary and focus on character motivation. I appreciate your connection to present day, people in different positions and how hate drives war. That said, I’m unclear on your concept for the production. More detail and specifics are needed.

HOW you are going to connect the lessons of the play to our current society. That is the challenge of the director, they must be specific.What time period would you set the play in? What is your “Concept”? (for instance I have seen “Romeo & Juliet” set between rich family and poor family, 2 different races, 2 different religions…) Perhaps Richard II is Governor of a large city that Bolingbroke is trying to take over?Are we in a metropolitan city, certain country, ..?How and where would you place your actors to create a visual that mirrors the drama of the scene? What colors of costumes and what style would you chose to cultivate your message?What is the message you want to leave your audience with, the lesson…?How would you use lighting to support your concept and illustrate the motivations of the characters…?
