George Mason University Teenage Immigrant Life Adjustment & Parenting Essay

Please use the life course theory for this paper; want to examine how families who immigrate to the US with teenagers adjust to life in the US.

This is a two parts paper, annotated bibliography, and a research paper.

Part 1:

for the annotated bibliography

• https://infoguides.gmu.edu/HDFS400
• 10 sources, at least 7 of which should be peer-reviewed journal articles, and 5 of these peer reviewed journal articles should be from family journals (ie. Journal of Marriage and Family, Family Relations, Family Process, Journal of Family Issues, Journal of Family Theory and Review, International Journal of Child, Youth, and Family)
• 3 sources can be book chapters, books, government reports, or reports from reputable research agencies (see “professor recommended websites”: https://infoguides.gmu.edu/HDFS400/web). You may NOT use popular press newspaper (Washington Post, New York Times, etc.) or magazine articles (Time, Parenting, National Geographic, etc.)
• For each source, list it in APA format and write an annotation of 3-5 sentences summarizing the main findings of the article and noting how you will use the source in your paper.
• Use Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) to understand how to write the references—do not use the reference that the databases provide. They are typically WRONG.
• Put list of references in ABC order.

• Part 2:
• Put everything together and create the paper.
• Look at the example research paper and follow along.
