DVC Slavery and Persecution History Analysis

I’m working on a history writing question and need a sample draft to help me study.

Please read this piece from the Wall St. Journal from 2019. Then consider what you have read in this course about human oppression, enslavement and various forms of forced labor. Write 2-6 paragraphs, partly summarizing what you read, but mostly offering a historical argument on the subject of what you think we can accurately say about humans and slavery in history. (ie. two absurd extremes might be ‘all humans have always been enslaved’ or ‘slavery has never existed.’ Between these extremes, what argument can you make? As always, argue based on readings and evidence, not feelings or opinions.
