There are a few components that we could question that contributed to the original sentencing of Cyntoia Brown. What elements do you think contributed to her sentencing? Would it be different if it were a male or a woman who was wealthy? Critically think about this case and combine it with Feminist theories.

Do you think that a wealthy woman who commits a crime should be sentenced any different than the a poor woman who commits a crime?
