State your data source(s). Provide summary statistics of the data. You could provide relevant graphs to show trends, etc.

2.Analysis (including empirical analysis)

This part should include a regression analysis. State clearly what your dependent and independent variables are, and why did you choose them. State your hypothesis. You could include your regression report in a table. For this part of the term paper, create basic summary statistics table (mean, standard deviation, min and max are common statistics to include). Additionally, you can create time trend graphs or histograms, etc. At times it is helpful to use graphs to motivate your topic. You can add graphs to your introduction.

3.Results

Discuss the results of your analysis – the economic intuition behind it. You could add a subsection to talk about policy implications if that’s relevant to your study.

4.Conclusion

Summarize the main points of the paper.
