Provide an example of a measure of central tendency and a measure of variability. What is their importance within a qualitative research study? Discuss the difference between descriptive and inferential statistics. Is one better than the other? Which one would you prefer to use and why?

After reviewing the Schröder (2017), respond to the following prompts in your assigned groups:

• Identify which variables in the research ones are the dependent and independent variables. Where they clearly presented in the content? Why?
• Provide examples of independent and dependent variables associated with some research topic of your choosing. If you are planning on utilizing a quantitative study for your Capstone research paper, then feel free to use variables associated with your topic. Why did you choose those variables?

Identify 1 to 2 statistical methods (e.g. t-tests, ANOVA, regression) that you could use with the variables that you have chosen in learning activity 3.2. In a Word document explain in 1-3 pages why the methods you chose will be helpful with the variables that you identified. Are there any existing threats to your validity? How would you deal with it?
