Winston Salem State University The Nature of Revenge According to Hamlet Essay

Question Description

I’m working on a writing discussion question and need a sample draft to help me learn.

Write a five paragraphs essay where you address one of the below listed topics. The essay must have at least TWO scholarly journal articles about the topic sited within your paper and appearing in the works cited section of your paper. DO NOT WRITE more than 5 paragraphs!

Your essay should open with a solid introduction that leads to the thesis statement. The thesis statement MUST appear as the last sentence of the introductory paragraph. Each paragraph MUST begin with a topic sentence that develops the ideas outlined in the thesis statement. Lastly, the conclusion paragraph must bring the essay to a close (i.e. what has the reader gained and/or learned from the discussion presented). Please avoid repeating the thesis statement in the conclusion paragraph.
Any essay that does not have a clear thesis statement will receive the grade of 0/F because without a thesis statement, the reader will not know the intended discussion of your essay. In addition, each paragraph that does not have a topic sentence will receive a deduction of a minimum of 20pts. Grammar, sentence structure and run-on sentence errors will receive a deduction of 5 points each; thus, an essay with more than 21 or more errors will receive a negative grade (i.e. below 0). As such, it is paramount that you seek assistance with editing of your paper days before the due date. NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED. The topics are:

  • Focusing on the Canterbury Tales, explain how the different moods in the different tales are expressed and how they contribute to the overall tales.
  • What does Shakespeare suggest in Hamlet about the nature of revenge?
  • What does Euripides suggest in Medea about the nature of resentment and revenge?
  • Based on the actions of Medea, in the play, Medea, what role(s) can women play in society?
