You will write a final paper. Masters students, should write a minimum of 20 double spaced pages (no more than 20 pages) MS Word” excluding appendices. The papers should include the following:

(1) Introduction (approximately one page):

(2) Description and discussion of the conflict, problem or issue (6-7 pages).

This section should review existing literature related to a conflict, problem or issue in university student affairs. This section should include theories for understanding or explaining the conflict, problem or issues, case studies, theories of change of previous interventions, best practices from previous interventions, and lessons learned from previous interventions. It should briefly analyze, synthesize and critique the literature.

(3)Recommended intervention and intervention design (6-7 pages).

This section should identify an intervention using a single or a combination of facilitation approaches or models from the readings and/or classwork. It should provide a justification of the choice of approaches or models and description of the theory of change underpinning your choice of intervention. It should then provide a facilitation design to address the conflict, problem or issue, drawing on lessons learned and best practices from the literature. This section should include a description of how the intervention will be evaluated.

(3) Conclusion (approximately one page):

What type of facilitation intervention will you use?

Who will be the participants?

What is the timeframe – how many sessions, how long each session?

What location(s) will the sessions take place – geographical location(s) and venue?

What techniques will you use in each session?

Provide an agenda for each session.
