- Based on the reading, define the following types of bilingual education programs in about 40-50 of your own words (i.e., do not cut and paste text from the book). For each one, please refer to the goals and means of the program (see p. 185):

- In a 200-250 word essay, describe how the Canadian, European, and U.S. bilingual education programs compare in their success at building and maintaining bilingualism among their students.Comment on the extent to which social attitudes and perceptions of the speakers of the two languages being used in the classroom may affect these outcomes. (Think of the social, economic, and cultural capital associated with the speakers of the languages involved.)
