Question Description

Part 1:

Observations Of Leader(s) In Your Life

In this week’s Strayer Story you learned how Coach Gibbs developed his own leadership style by observing the styles of leaders he admires. Now, think of a great leader in your own life. This can be a coach, teacher, mentor, supervisor, family member, etc. How would you describe that person? What would you say were some of their strengths as a leader? Do you feel as though they are an effective leader? Why or why not? Use references from Leadership That Gets Results (JGR100 ebook) to support your response.

Part2: Respond to Erica

Good morning class! A great leader in my life is surely the late Kobe Bryant. His work ethic was incomparable with anyone in sports from the past, present, and even the future. His overwhelming dedication to the game of basketball transformed him into a fearless leader that motivated everyone on the basketball court. Some of his strengths included loyalty and always aiming to be the best. I wholeheartedly believe he was an effective leader because his presence alone could motivate someone to their absolute best, but he capitalized on it by giving advice. He took multiple leadership styles from being feared yet respected and leading by example and pushed them to their extreme. Thank you all.
