Writing Project # 4: Analysis of Drama

Purpose:

The goal of this assignment is to have you analyze a one-act play, focusing specifically on dramatic structure. Also, this assignment should improve your ability to read and think critically.

Task:

Compose a short, researched-analytical essay using one of the plays discussed in class. Analyze the dramatic structure of the play, focusing specifically on the central conflict, protagonist, and antagonist. Explain how the author uses these various components to reveal the theme(s) of the play. For this assignment, you must use at least one secondary source. The secondary source cannot come from the Public Web.

Your essay should be at least 1000 words.
