In this final project, you will select and curate at least six thematically connected works of art that support an identified thesis about a significantcultural issue. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your command of visual analysis and historical research, while at the same time expressing yourown passions, worldview, or personal interests. The product of your investigation and analyses will be documented in an exhibit prospectus. The project isdivided into two milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. Thesemilestones will be submitted in Modules Three and Five. The final product will be submitted in Module Seven.

Prompt: In Module Three, you will submit your thesis and exhibit explanation/overview to your instructor for approval. Remember that the topic you choosemust allow you to connect several works of art/design objects by tracing a particular theme or concept in those examples. You must also include three of theimages you plan to use for your final project and provide full identification and citations for each image.

Be sure that the visual examples you choose for your final project are specific to design, not art history in general. For example, Impressionism is an art historical style, and we don’t cover it in this class, which tells you that it is not related to design specifically.
