Create a Powerpoint or Keynote presentation to include the following:
A heterosexual couple attending the Civil Rights March on Washington in 1963
A hetero sexual couple attending an anti-war rally for peace in the late 60s/early 70s
A heterosexual couple attending a Love-In in the late 60s/early 70s
For each couple provide representative ensemble from 2 different historical collections from an American museum or historical collection
The love in couple can include examples from British collections as well as American.
ALSO, For each couple provide a representative photograph (or two) from the time period. You may use museum collections or The Library of Congress website.
In the notes section of the slide please provide bibliographic information, and a paragraph explaining why each couple is wearing the appropriate attire for each event.
Do not use any image from the powerpoint lectures from class and remember that all the research must come from the appropriate time period.
As we noticed in earlier eras, there were visual/items of dress signifiers that signal political affiliation. If appropriate, include these in your presentation.
Also, if you want to get the flavor of the antiwar time period watch the very entertaining Netflix show The Trial of the Chicago 7 that was written and directed by Aaron Sorkin who also created The West Wing, House of Cards and To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway.
