PSY 3060 Ohio Christian University Interpret Z Scores Discussion
Question Description
Z Score Exercise
Interpret z scores.
The Z-test is one of the foundational tests of statistics. We often see z scores (the result of Z-tests) as a part of daily life. These include things like ACT and SAT scores as well as most IQ scores. The z scores are useful because they allow us to compare scores between completely different distributions; that is, distributions with different means and standard deviations. You will see this standard score used most frequently in statistics. It computes how much the amount of a raw score differs from the mean of the distribution by the standard deviation.
