Prepare: Written Analysis and Concept Map based on this patient information;

Primary admitting diagnosis: Closed fracture of the neck of the right femur which was caused by patient fall. This led to ORIF of the right hip.

Labs ordered: WBC (8.85), Hemoglobin (13.1), Platelet count (189), RBC (3.45), MVC (110.40, MCH (38.0), MCHC(34.4), RDW (13), MPV (9.8).

Diagnostic test: Fluoroscopy, CT hip Right WO contrast, XR Pelvis Portable.

A) Come up with possible physician orders for this patient.

B) Prepare a table describing the pharmacotherapies: Medication, dose, frequency, route, class, top 3 side effects, indications. Here are the list of medications; –

ceFAZolin(ANCEF): 2 g/ Intravenous/ every 8 hours

HYDROcodone-acetaminophen (NORCO): 1 tablet/ oral/ once PRN

Enoxaparin (LOVENOX): 40 mg/ subcutaneous/ daily

fentanyl (PF) (SUBLIMAZE) injection: 25 mcg/ Intravenous/ every 5 mins

HYDROmorphone (DILAUDID) injection: 0.5 mg/ intravenous/ every 10 mins PRN

Metoclopramide (REGLAN) injection: 10 mg/ intravenous/ once PRN

Promethazine (PHENERGAN) injection: 6.25 mg/ intravenous/once PRN

Dexamethasone (DECARON) injection: IV/ as needed

Phenylephrine (NEO-SYNEPHRINE): 100 mcg/ml/ IV/ as needed

Propofol (DIPRIVAN): 10 mg/ml/ infusion
